What is the Jugend.Media.Space?
The Jugend.Media.Space is a free weekly media programme for young people aged 12 to 18. In a professionally equipped studio, they develop their own social media and radio projects, from the initial idea to publication. Every Wednesday afternoon from 1:30 pm to 5:30 pm.

Why are we doing this?
Many young people spend hours on social media every day.
But only a few learn how media really work.
At Jugend.Media.Space, you will learn:
– how content is created
– how to use it creatively
– and how to use it responsibl
For parents
Jugend.Media.Space provides a safe, supervised environment where young people learn to use digital media responsibly.
In the process:
– media literacy is promoted
– critical thinking is strengthened
– self-confidence is built
– teamwork skills are developed
Jugend.Media.Space – Youth centre & leisure activity in Aarau
Jugend.Media.Space is your open youth space in Aarau for creative leisure activities. Every Wednesday from 1:30 pm to 5:30 pm, you can drop in without registering and work on your own projects.
Whether it’s social media, video, podcasts or radio, here you can try things out, learn something new and get creative. The programme is aimed at young people who want to spend their free time actively and gain a better understanding of media.
Important: Jugend.Media.Space is closed during school holidays.

Who’s behind it?
Aargauer Jugendmedien has been supporting young people in journalism, radio and digital media production since 2016.
Aus dem Jugendradio Summernight entstanden, bieten wir heute vielfältige Möglichkeiten, Medien praktisch zu erleben und selbst zu gestalten.
Our goal: to create spaces where young people can be creative, bring their own ideas to life and help shape social issues.
Through projects such as Radio Summernight, they gain first-hand experience in journalistic thinking, technology and teamwork.
